The clearest evidence for how we approach design is the site you are reading right now. It was designed and built by the same team that would design yours, with the same restraint: a small, deliberate set of decisions rather than every trend applied at once.

What restraint actually means

Fewer typefaces, used consistently, rather than a different one per section. Motion that has a reason to exist rather than movement for its own sake, and that switches off entirely for anyone who has asked their device to reduce motion. Colour used to mean something rather than as decoration. Whitespace treated as a real design decision, not the leftover space between the parts somebody actually wanted.

How it is built

Design and build are not handed off between two different people or two different tools. What gets designed is built in the same system it will ship in, so nothing is lost translating a picture of an interface into the interface itself, and no gap opens between how a component looks in a design file and how it behaves for a real visitor on a real phone.

What that changes for you

Fewer rounds of a static mockup being reinterpreted by a developer who did not make it. A design system, not a one off set of screens, so new pages stay consistent with the ones already built rather than drifting page by page.
