Most small business websites are rented. You pay a platform every month, the site lives on their servers, the templates are theirs, and the day you stop paying it disappears. Three years in you have spent thousands and own nothing you can take with you.

This is the other option. You get a site built for you, and you get the code, the repository, the domain and the hosting account. Not a licence to use it. The actual thing.

How it is built

Every site is built on Next.js and rendered ahead of time, so a page arrives as finished HTML rather than as a JavaScript bundle the visitor's phone has to assemble first. That is why these sites feel instant on a mid range Android on mobile data, which is what most of your visitors are actually using.

The build targets a Lighthouse score above 90 and passing Core Web Vitals, because Google uses page experience as a ranking input and because a slow site loses people before they read anything. Structured data, sitemap, canonical tags and Open Graph are part of the build rather than a plugin added afterwards.

You get a content editor for the parts that change. Text, images, projects, prices. No developer, no ticket, no waiting.

What it costs to run

A static site on a small server costs roughly four dollars a month, paid directly to your host, not to us. There is no platform fee, no per seat charge, and no annual increase decided by somebody else. Compare that to the sixty to five hundred a month that hosted platforms and agency retainers typically charge and the difference over a few years is usually larger than the build itself.

What you actually receive at handover

The repository with full history, transferred to your account. The domain, in your name. The hosting account, in your name, paid with your card. Analytics, if you want it, under your login. And a walkthrough so you can edit the site yourself.

If you later want to hire somebody else, you hand them a normal Next.js repository and they get to work. Nothing is locked, nothing is proprietary, and there is no exit fee, because there is nothing to exit from.

Who this suits

Businesses that have outgrown a template, that are tired of paying rent on their own storefront, or that were quoted a five figure sum by an agency for something a solo build does better. It suits people who want to know what they own.

It is a poor fit if you want somebody else permanently responsible for every change, or if you need a large team and a long contract. Say so early and we will tell you honestly.
