Banafee Group
A bilingual corporate site for a Malaysian halal food and retail group, built as one cinematic scroll with its own markdown blog and self-hosted admin.
The challenge
A group with more than fifty years of trading history needed a site that felt considered rather than templated, served customers in two languages, and could be updated by the team without going back to a developer for every announcement.
Our approach
One cinematic scroll built on momentum scrolling and scroll-triggered reveals, with a pinned horizontal gallery for the twelve outlet formats and animated counters for the group's numbers. Both language versions were hand-written rather than machine-translated. A markdown blog and a password-protected admin with live preview and image upload put publishing in the client's hands.
The outcome
A bilingual corporate site the group owns and edits themselves, with structured data, sitemap and manifest for search, and hardened admin sessions, rate-limited login and security headers on the private side. Measured with Google PageSpeed Insights on 3 August 2026: SEO 100 out of 100, cumulative layout shift of 0.018 against Google's 0.1 threshold, and a desktop largest contentful paint of 1.1 seconds. These are lab measurements rather than field data, and anyone can rerun them.
